The Thompson Hotel is the perfect sexy oasis for a short stay in Los Angeles.  The interiors are mainly dark and alluring, and the furniture is both modern and minimal, mixing wooden and metallic elements. Located right on Wilshire in Beverly Hills, just 2 blocks from Rodeo Drive, you are also just steps away from shopping and restaurants. The color palette of the Thompson Hotel is earth tones and the feel is both relaxing but still very smart.  The hotel is suitable for both a lonely night working in the bed on your iPad or an intimate date.  While lying in bed the mirrored strips on the wall continue up to the ceiling offering you an abstract vision of yourself. Walking through the dark corridors on the way to your room you feel as if you are walking through an art exhibition as you are presented with photographic slides on the wall giving you a surreal feeling like you are becoming a character in a David Lynch movie. At the entrance I appreciated the unexpected leather couch, used as a pleasant place to wait for your cab or your driver. The best part of the hotel is without a doubt the incredible rooftop pool, where you can see a view of Beverly Hills at 360 degrees -literally the American dream.
