Sevilla, the biggest city in Andalusia, is a must see city for anyone planning a trip to Southern Spain, and Swell Group´s Sevilla apartment is a must stay apartment for anyone visiting Sevilla! Tucked away in a quiet traffic-free side street, it is hard to imagine you are only five minutes walk from the bustling city centre, with its numerous places of interest, from the breathtaking fifteenth century cathedral, to the beautiful Moorish palace of the Alcazar. There is so much to see in this city steeped in history, and this apartment really could not be a better base for exploring the city.
This two bedroom apartment in an original Seville building has been very tastefully converted, retaining much of its original charm, and is beautifully furnished. There are wooden floors throughout, and the high ceilings add a particularly spacious feel to the apartment. Opening the charming shuttered windows leading out onto a tiny balcony overlooking the street below is like stepping into a little piece of Spanish history all your own.
The compact kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, cooker, microwave, coffee machine and fridge freezer. The beds are deliciously comfortable, and those little touches like Jo Malone´s laundry spray added to the sheets, and Molten Brown toiletries in the bathroom, as well as freshly laundered towels and bathrobes, add a very pleasant luxury element.
There are only two downsides I would mention. Firstly, being on the second floor, up two narrow flights of stairs, with no lift, this flat is not suitable for anyone not reasonably able bodied. And secondly, finding the apartment was troublesome. We drove ourselves, and the one way system surrounding the flat proved extremely difficult and frustrating to navigate. Since most people probably take a taxi from the airport this is possibly normally not an issue, but certainly worth bearing in mind if you intend driving to Seville. It would be a good idea to take a navigator or map on your trip to avoid getting lost. Satnav essential!
Having said that, our stay was all too short in this beautiful apartment and I would have loved to have stayed a week or more!
