Review and Photos by The CobrasnakeHotel Savoy in Berlin makes you feel like you have gone back in time, everything about the hotel feels old. When you check in there are free apples and cookies at reception. The staff was very friendly and spoke English well. I got to my suite on the top floor and was greeted with Bubbling Virtual Champagne on the TV screen. The suite was really just 2 smaller rooms put together. There were 2 small beds put together to make a slightly bigger bed. Next to the bed was a very retro radio. I relaxed on the bed, the pillows on the bed were very soft and I watched TV for a while. The remote control buttons were all rubbed off so it was difficult to figure it out and most of the TV shows were in German with lots of softcore porn.

The internet was not free. The suite had 2 mini bars, 2 trouser press units and 2 bath rooms. Both bathrooms were equipped with SAVOY brand toiletries. It didnt really feel like a suite more like 2 mediocre rooms. The hotel is conveniently located next to the zoo and I would recommend this hotel if you were an exotic animal thief and needed a hotel in close distance to the zoo. There are also lots of sex shops and nice restaurants within walking distance from the property. If you are hungry there is a restaurant down stairs and outside seating that is nice for breakfast and lunch time meals. Only the suites have aircon so if you are there during the summer make sure to enjoy a suite.
