The 10,000 square foot space is also an art gallery with a “gastro-brasserie” and enough surrounding space for hosting fashion shows, corporate events, product launches and much more all in these fantastic surroundings. Whimsical and informal, the café serves brunch, lunch and dinner, delectable teas and a cute little selection of beer and wine. Adding even more charm to the atmosphere, instead of typical waitresses the servers are all adorably blushing Japanese girls dressed like French maids to fit with the recurring theme. You can have an afternoon tea (the Royal/T Milk Tea is delish and highly recommended) while taking in the art all around you. The menu showcases a fusion of French/Japanese cuisine that is both bold and imaginative — and also delicious with items such as the Tuna Tataki and the Wagyu Beef sliders. The focus at Royal/T is on Japanese art featuring legendary artists such as Takashi Murakami and up-and-coming art darlings like Misaki Kawai. The art in the gallery rotates every six months and is not for sale, all straight from Miss Hancock’s private collection.
