Rough Luxe is a very small boutique hotel only with only a handful of very unique and different rooms. The hotel is located just next to the Kings Cross station with is quite a funny neighborhood great if you are looking for hard drugs. The hotel has some amazing energy. Everything thing looks run down but on purpose. With old wallpaper and stairs that look like your foot would fall through them when you walk up. Staying in the hotel was fun. The bathroom was clean and large. Great natural light all over the place. Super relaxing and homey with free WIFI you can’t go wrong. Lots of design type features with lots of special little details everywhere. The bed was a day bed which was great for napping and sleeping on. The hotel had a “spa” which was actually just one of those fancy Japanese toilettes. A perfect place for a young couple looking for adventure. Enjoy breakfast in on the patio or in the downstairs dinning room both romantic and quaint places to enjoy a meal. The hotel walks a fine line between shabby chic and a punk rock squat. The hotel manager lives in the hotel and is always available for advice and conversation.
