DB Bistro Moderne - Midtown
1 min

On the bustling corner of 44th Street just a couple blocks east of Times Square, DB Bistro Moderne is chef Daniel Boulud’s fusion of French brasserie and American contemporary dining.

The real standout of DB Bistro is its 14 types of house-made sausages. From the spicy Toscane Italian sausage with fennel, tomato, and chili, to the Chipolata pork link with black truffle and pommes mousseline, visitors can make a meal of just the sausages.

Speaking of meat, burger lovers will find plenty to love at the restaurant as well. The six-ounce patty forms the base for creative concoctions like The Piggie, with pulled pork and jalapeno mayonnaise, or The Frenchie, with confit pork belly, tomato-onion compote and morbier cheese.

Whether to accompany one of these hearty dishes or enjoyed on their own, there is no shortage of beer options at DBGB. Boasting one of the best selections in New York City, the restaurant’s beer menu is literally reads like a book, with its own table of contents. With 22 options on tap, changing seasonally. Its dozens of bottled beers include imperial stouts, dark honey ales, ciders, and porters. A number of hard-to-find large format beers are available to share, or to enjoy all to oneself.

In addition to these staples, DBGB offers a range of delightful appetizers and entrees. The fried egg and salsify and roasted Long Island duck are two standouts. Visitors will certainly want to consider finishing off a meal with one of DBGB’s wonderful desserts, such as the coconut-chocolate rum parfait or Meyer lemon cheesecake.

DBGB is a great place for both lunch and dinner, or for a drink and appetizer before heading out for the night.
