After walking numerous kilometers (miles in US), I decided to hire a bicycle taxi to my flat from Amsterdamstay.com. This was a great idea after quite a bit of walking with three bags of luggage. My taxi pulled up to a beautiful street on a canal. I was amazed with the location and appearance of the Coke flat after staying numerous days in a hostel.

The Coke flat is on a gorgeous street called Kloveniersburgwal which is close to attractions such as Neumarkt, Rembrandtplein, and a short fifteen minute walk from Central station. The flat is called the Coke flat because it is decorated from floor to ceiling with Coca Cola memorabilia. There are Coke cans, bottles, toys, etc. As a Coke fan and tired from walking, this made me quite thirsty. However, I knew I could not drink any of these wonderful collector items.

The flat is also equipped with a charming, full sized kitchen with a stove, microwave, fridge, and all the essentials to make a delicious meal. Mo the manager was nice enough to include some refreshing Dutch beers. In addition, the flat has a flat screen TV, blu-ray dvd player, Playstation 3, and enough smoking utensils necessary to never leave the flat.

The Coke flat can fit a large family or a large group of friends. There are two levels and on the bottom floor there is a comfortable couch, room with a bed, and a room with a bunk-bed. Besides the Coke memorabilia, the bunk-beds and this beautiful 17th century flat creates a dream-like ambiance like you are on a ship sailing the North Sea. As you climb the stairs to the top level there are two beautiful rooms. The first room is decorated in red velvet curtains and provocative bedding, which is quite romantic. The master bedroom is lovely as well with a nice size bedroom with a great view of the canals.

Whether you are with a group of close friends for a bachelor/bachelorette party or a large family, the Coke flat is the place for you to feel like an Amsterdam local. In addition, the company Amsterdamstay.com has numerous other flats they can offer. If you are a Coca Cola fanatic, then do not look elsewhere. You will be right at home. Pepsi fans need not apply.
