Despite the huge monoliths of capitalism and city trading that crane towards the New York City skyline in almost every direction, the interior of BLT Fish feels like an unhurried and prosperous beach shack in a country town. Chef Laurent Tourondel's seafood eatery, BLT Fish takes on seafood and does it oh-so-well...(the first was BLT Steak). The ground floor offers a casual setting with wooden booths, oak floors and an upbeat bar scene while upstairs is more upscale with a higher priced menu and reservations required. The food downstairs is more laid back but menu items such as the Lobster roll with fries on the side will never disappoint while the oysters are as fresh as can be and taste like the sea. BLT Fish is a lovely place to come for some incredibly fresh and delicious seafood in a restaurant with a cheerful atmosphere and great service.
