Driving to the the Santa Teresa hotel was quite an adventure. Located towards the top of a hill in the center of Rio I felt like I was staying at someone’s house. The property is amazing very green, very natural very peaceful. The front desk is very relaxing, everyone is sitting down and using laptops. The whole place is very woodsy. My room was big and had a very fresh feeling with lots of natural light and positive energy.  The only negative thing was the constant airplanes and busses driving by making it feel like there was a mini-earthquake every ten minutes.
Amazing bed, killer shower head, flat screen tv. Once you are at the hotel Santa Teresa you will not want to leave. Eating breakfast in the restaurant I felt like I was on a resort far, faraway from everyone, with an amazing view of the city and really friendly waitstaff. This hotel would be a great romantic getaway for that special someone or even a Brazilian one night stand.

The Marina All-Suites hotel is located directly across from the beach, in the heart of Leblon. I stayed there last week on my trip to Brazil. When I checked in I was offered champagne and was escorted to my room on the 6th floor. The room had an amazing view of the ocean and when you opened the window you could hear the waves crashing on the shore. It was very relaxing. After unpacking I explored the hotel. I found the small but ample fitness center and the amazing roof top pool with a view to kill. After my run and quick swim I enjoyed some fresh fruit in the room and a Gatorade sports drink. The mini bar was full of treats: my 2 favorite items in the mini bar were the playing cards suitable for late night Strip Poker and both male and female condoms, a first, never before have I seen a female condom in a hotel mini bar. I used both at the same time that night not the best idea.

After that I took some sexy naked photos. The bed was super comfortable, free tooth brush with Colgate tooth paste. The internet was NOT free and even when you paid for it, it sucked. I took a bath in the tub which was huge I pretended I was on a boat. On the beach you can get free beach chairs and towels which is really great. Not a modern hotel, gets away with some short comings because it’s located across from the beach .
